Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra

I upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy z fold 5. My main complaints for the 5 were the front screen size and poor camera. I was able to justify the upgrade wth the introduction of the Gold 8 Ultra. Overall I'm pleased. The front and main screens are big, especially the front, it's more like a bar phone now. Easier to type and see. The battery life is great, games and videos play well, and the screens are clear. The obit problem I have is the camera is a terrible disappointment. I thought maybe I had a defect, but I've discovered that it's a common complaint due colours to be washed out on the newer phones due to new processing technology. I opened a ticket and was directed to the camera section of the manual. Compared to my Fold 5, the colours are very faded, and the low light photos are not as bright and the quality is not good. I took comparison photos at the same times of the same objects and viewed on multiple screens. I would almost give 3 stars, but the other aspects of the phone are good. For the very expensive price, I expect a lot more.

I bought this over a month ago and it took me about 2 weeks to start learning everything about it, all I have to say is that it's been fantastic. Packed so much and such a thin device. It's essentially a laptop on a phone at the same time.

Had it a month now and quite happy with it. Switched from my S25 Ultra. Miss my periscope zoom but like the fold out. Battery doesn't last but at least it charges fast.

It's my first time using a foldable phone. I really like the big screen when I expand it, and when I close it, it feels better than the S24 Ultra because it's more ideal for single-hand use. When we expand the screen, the phone feels like a tablet,t so I don't need to bring another tablet when I'm travelling. The phone is also good for entertainment during a flight because the battery lasts a whole day and I don't need to find the tablet in my bag.

I had a Fold 4 which I loved, but the crease, weight and thickness pushed me to the S24 Ultra at upgrade time. Now instead of the s26 Ultra, I just got the Fold 8 Ultra and it's soo good to be back! The crease is virtually gone, it's lighter, it's impossibly thin, more durable internal screen, bigger battery, brighter screen, flagship chip, higher resolution, improved hinge, flex mode, cover screen preview..almost perfect! My only complaint is the lack of fold pen support which was great on the Fold 4. I get it might have been difficult with how thin the device is and it's not a deal breaker, but it would have been a nice bonus. Great job Samung and thanks for the awesome trade in bonus!

Perfectly as expected, hinge quality feels super solid. Screen is responsive and colours seem good when photo editing. Screen isn't as thin as I thought it would be, but a bit wider like my 26U would be nice. Battery life evened out and is much better after 4 days of indexing and usage learning. Would have been happier with better and bigger speakers but that is the most that can happen with a phone this thin, on calls the speaker is just a bit quiet. And media and games are quiet as well. Performance is really good, obviously not a gaming phone,but still performs well, when under load it is where it falls short with thermal performance. Very good phone, enjoyable, and refreshing to daily life

I pre-ordered this and received it a couple days before release and it is amazing, the battery life is better than anticipated, the display is great and the hinge is smooth, the UI and android version has great responsiveness. So far it's been very durable as well

First time having a flip phone and I loved it. It was lighter than my original s23 ultra even with the case. Easy to handle and all the application are really responsive. Although it is light in weight but the material is really durable.

I pre-ordered the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra feels like Samsung has really refined the Fold experience. Compared with the previous generations, the improvements are noticeable in the areas that matter most to me. The battery life is definitely better, and I feel much more confident getting through a full day without constantly thinking about the charger. The crease on the main screen is much less noticeable, especially when watching videos or multitasking, which makes the large display feel more polished. The hinge is another big improvement. It feels smoother, more solid and refined when opening and closing the phone. Overall, the device feels thinner, lighter and more premium while still giving you that huge screen when you need it. Performance is fast, multitasking on the big display is fantastic, and the whole phone feels like a much more mature foldable than the earlier models. If you've been waiting for Samsung to improve the battery, crease and hinge before upgrading to another Fold, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is a very impressive step forward. Easily 5 stars from me!

The cover screen of the device is no longer skinny, but a normal sized screen that is way easier to use. I decided to upgrade from the Samsung Galaxy z fold 6 and I'm happy I did !!! ,the inner and outside display is vivid , the quality of the display is absolutely beautiful , not to mention the faster processing speeds and the Snapdragon chip which I love for gaming especially being able to game at 120 fps on a phone is amazing!!! , not to mention faster charging speeds and a bigger battery to boot , the z fold 8 ultra is also great for multi tasking and handles having multiple apps open at once on your screen with no problem or lag !!! .... I absolutely love my z fold 8 Ultra

I’ve been extremely impressed with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. What stands out most is how Samsung managed to give it such a large, beautiful folding display while keeping the phone surprisingly thin and light. It feels much more comfortable to carry and use than I expected from a foldable with this much screen space. The inner display is easily my favourite feature. Once unfolded, it feels like having a small tablet in my pocket. Reading websites, checking emails, viewing photos and videos, and working with documents are all much more enjoyable on the larger screen. Multitasking is also excellent. Being able to have multiple apps open at the same time makes the Fold especially useful for productivity. I can check an email while looking at another app, browse the web while taking notes, or move between tasks without constantly switching back and forth. I also really appreciate that I can use the outer screen like a regular smartphone when I just need to do something quickly, then unfold it whenever I want the extra space. It gives me the best of both a phone and a tablet in one device. The combination of the large folding display, thinner and lighter design, and excellent multitasking has made the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra one of the most enjoyable smartphones I’ve used. Samsung has done an excellent job refining the foldable experience. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a premium phone with a much bigger screen when they need it.

Received Green fold 8 ultra a week ago, I would like to highlight few annoying issues with the larger display 1. FB, Instagram and shorts videos are enlarged to full screen and optimized for better view. 2.Netflix and Prime videos are smaller than ultra s26 display which is disappointing 3. Front display is too small and it could be little bit bigger for easy usage on unfold times 4.Digital bill board images are too pixelating due to the sharpeness corrections 5. Not worthy for 3000k CAD 6. Performances are better and battery life is decent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had Z Fold series ever since they first came out. My last Fold was the 6 series, great product, great size but heavy with a case. I chose the Fold Ultra 8 for my newer version, and it is a wonderful product. It has the same basic features as the 6, but with great improvements. The phone is thinner, lighter, has a bigger screen, and new features. I have enjoyed working more with Gemini to accomplish a few tasks quicker and can't wait to spend a little more time exploring. There are some new features with photos, circle and search, and many AI features. I highly recommend any Z series Fold, but especially the Ultra 8.

everything about the phone phone Factor the screen side is excellent that's the best part of the z-fold 8. But be aware of the inner screen display where if you close the phone the borders of the phone does not protect the inner screen rather the inner screen touches each other so any kind of debris will cause the inner screen to break. You might also find that the touch response is not that great as the bar phones of the ultra. I just love the size, Samsung needs to work on this phone factor and make it perfect. Display quality is great but sometimes or most of the times it reduces the brightness I do not know for whatever reason it might be. And battery life it is okay for now goes through the day but you need to recharge it twice a day.

They have lessened the crease, put better cameras in and it comes with the latest android software. I have been a Fold user since the Fold 3 and I don't see myself going back. I use the multitasking split screen feature almost everyday. The phone is buttery smooth and feels like a normal candy bar phone when Folded. I am really enjoying my experience with this phone and I'm still learning how to take and edit pictures in a more creative way. The new edit feature that allows you to edit photos and video along with the new filters allow you to create some really cool looking media.

I upgrade my foldable phone every year, and compared to last year's Fold 7, this year's Fold 8 Ultra doesn't feel like a significant upgrade overall. The only fan perk—the free memory upgrade for pre-orders—has been cancelled. The only bright spots are the increased battery life and faster charging, and this year's anti-reflective screen is excellent. The crease is also less noticeable than last year. Now that the phone has the "Ultra" name, I hope next year's model will see more improvements, otherwise, I'll lose the motivation to upgrade.

Being able to open my phone to look at spreadsheets and read documents so the words are bigger have been a game changer. The pictures are always clear! My only disappointment was that I could not get the tri-fold, but if I get the chance again, I will be the first!!!!! I love my Fold and will never leave Samsung! I came from using a s24 ultra to the z fold 8 ultra and so far everything has been tweaked between the 2 devices. I noticed a good decent proformance boost that also adds a great battery boost even though my old phone had a physically bigger battery. So far I'm impressed with everything this phone has to offer. I did notice a great boost in photo compression under full zoom. Where you take a photo and can still read writing after 30x zoom. All in all a great phone. I am curious though as to the durability of the phone because they made it so this. I don't mind the extra heft as long as it adds to battery or usability.

Got my Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra in the online exclusive color - Green Shadow, which looks more stunning in-person!! It is super thin and light, just like a regular phone when closed, great tablet screen (no crease so far), powerful multitasking with top performance, and two-day battery life. The phone is also water resistance and has a pretty good set of cameras. Loving the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra so far!! What an upgrade from my old Galaxy S23 Ultra!! I would recommend this phone to friends and families.

Switched from my Z fold 6 and the phone works excellent. Having the new cameras with improved quality and a more durable inner screen makes a difference. Plus the crease is nearly gone when I touch or look directly into it. The processor is also more responsive than I expected which is worth it when I need to execute tasks. I am however wanting to have the S-Pen functionality back as that would make the inner screen a much more better performance in my daily needs such as sketching/drawing.

This is my first fold coming from the so called slab phone the s25 ultra. I have to say it grows on you as you use it. I chose this version as it's mainly for my work and multitasking capabilities. I like that unfolded it has two 5.5 inch screens. I do however, wish that there was an s-pen and they would do two 6.5 inch screens to live up to the ultra name. However, all in all my productivity has increased, for my work I have to review a lot of work and research so reading and multitasking is bar none the best I experienced on a phone. I hope they can add the 3 horizontal windows from the regular fold 8. Make sure you research a good case the phone is fragile compared to the slab phones. The battery has been impressive so far and lasts me almost the full day, we'll see in the long run. Responsiveness is good too.

I’ve been using this device-which has a rather interesting form factor-for a month now. The performance is sufficient for my needs. It has a really great, large inner screen, though the screen flicker causes significant eye strain during prolonged use. The cameras are decent but could be better. The battery is holding up well so far; it lasts the whole day.. Overall, it’s a good device.

Because I constantly use split-screen multitasking—like pulling up an excel sheet on one side while answering an email on the other—the extra screen real estate makes a massive difference.
