1. Inspect and Clean the Rubber Door Gasket (Seal)

A dirty, deformed, or damaged door gasket allows cool air to escape, causing moisture condensation, frost accumulation, and cooling inefficiency.

• Inspect for Debris: Food particles and sticky liquids can prevent the magnetic seal from contacting the cabinet surface smoothly.
• Clean the Gasket: Wipe the rubber seal and cabinet contact area using a soft cloth dipped in warm water and mild liquid detergent. Dry thoroughly.
• Perform the Paper Test: Insert a sheet of paper between the seal and the refrigerator frame, then close the door. If the paper pulls out easily without resistance, the magnetic seal needs realignment or replacement.
• Fix Warped Seals: If the gasket has small gaps or folds, warm the affected area carefully with a hairdryer on low heat while massaging the rubber back into shape with your hands.

2. Adjust Refrigerator Leveling and Alignment

If the refrigerator is tilted forward or unlevel side-to-side, the doors may swing open automatically or fail to seal completely.

1. Remove the front kick plate / leg cover located at the bottom front of the appliance if applicable.
2. Locate the adjustable leveling legs under the front corners.
3. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the leg slot or use a wrench on the leveling nut.
4. Turn the legs **clockwise to raise** or **counterclockwise to lower** the front side.
5. Adjust the front legs until the front of the refrigerator sits approximately 6 mm (1/4 inch) higher than the rear. This slight backward incline allows gravity to assist the auto-close hinge system.

3. How to Align Uneven French Doors or Side-by-Side Doors

If one refrigerator door is lower or higher than the other, follow these alignment steps:

1. Locate the height adjustment nut situated on the lower side of the door hinge.
2. Insert the provided Allen wrench (hex key) or open-end wrench into the adjustment bolt.
3. Turn the adjustment bolt **clockwise to raise** the lower door or **counterclockwise to lower** it.
4. Verify that both doors align flush along the top edge and center gap.
5. Reinsert the safety snap ring / lock clip if your model uses one to lock the height setting.
